Democracy
Pupils are supported to understand democratic principles, contribute their views and recognise how decision-making works within a community. Values such as respect, honesty, integrity and trust enable pupils to participate responsibly in democratic processes and develop confidence to express their opinions.
Rule of Law
The value of respect, combined with honesty, integrity and resilience, promotes an understanding of why rules exist and how they protect individuals. Our focus on self-regulation directly supports the understanding of consequences and the importance of positive behaviour choices.
Individual Liberty
Chaselea empowers pupils to make informed and responsible choices within a safe environment. Values including trust, kindness, love and resilience promote a culture where pupils are encouraged to achieve highly, develop independence and recognise their rights and responsibilities.
Mutual Respect
Respect is central to our ethos and is supported by values of empathy, kindness and love. Pupils learn the importance of positive relationships, collaboration and understanding the impact of their behaviour on others.
Tolerance of Different Faiths and Beliefs
Through our values of empathy, respect and kindness, Chaselea prepares pupils to participate in a diverse society. Pupils are encouraged to appreciate cultural difference, challenge stereotypes and develop inclusive attitudes.
